Just eradicate the JJ Kelvin timeline stuff, it’s god-awful, a bastardisation of Trek, full of JJ’s bogus tropes and misunderstanding of the franchise he’s trying to “redo”. Put it away and don’t touch it again. And no, we don’t need ANOTHER reboot. Just stick with the prime timeline. Are DISCO, SNW, LD, PICARD etc perfect? No. Are they still trying to maintain the prime universe and continue to tell stories in the core universe. Yes. The current TV slate is fine, and they’ve been improving as the years have been going on. You can be a longtime fan of Star Trek and not push out all the recent shows, they’re developing and evolving, not bastardising the core ideas. We don’t need a separate kelvin continuity to tell stories that stomp on Treks heritage. And we don’t need ANOTHER reboot to get more people interested in Star Trek by creating different versions of established events that are more “action packed” and “popular actor centric” for the sake of drawing in the wider “simple” audience. Trek is built on the foundation of showing the audience science fiction using scientific principles, highlighting the problems we face in the present by juxtaposing it against a future that’s all but eradicated material want and societal prejudices. Continue to tell stories in a rich universe, don’t undermine it with countless reboots and redos, it kills creativity and value.

No JJ film is going to happen nobody believes the 4th is happening. No way I go to see some shitty low budget prequel, they need to get financing to make movies or just sell Star Trek. With a bankrupt studio they won't even get a film into theaters for the 60th Anniversary.

Star Trek needs classically-trained relatively ugly (compared to normal Hollywood fodder) thespians to be a success. End of story.

OK I get this show has to be all inclusive but Tilly? She is not even fit to be on ship. She is overweight and just not healthy. I've never seen in any of the other series a character that is totally unfit to be a crew mate on a star ship. Don't they have to go through bootcamp training and meet regular physical requirements? Imagine an entire crew of unfit crewmen like Tilly. Would anyone watch that? Can you imagine a male captain in those tight uniforms with his belly sticking out? The finale, like the entire series, was up and down but more down. Here you have Star Trek's version of American Treasure. The finale puzzle was a bit flat and not very interesting at all. But a fitting end to a series that rarely had good moments and many times was just plain bad. It leaves you totally disappointed.

I'm sure it'll be great as all new iterations of all the franchises in Hollywood, woke, full of "Care Bears" spirit, inclusive, Alphabet people and without white men patriarchy. A kind of Star Wars without war or Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs without romance, dwarf or even Snow White. Would they resuscitate Neelix as the StarTrek Jar Jar ? Or reuse the Aliens who were killed by music like in -Mars Attack- Star Trek Beyond ? Kirk's coming out to explain his Don Juanism or just remove Kirk ? Scotty gender transition ? Or they will introduce the J'naii in the Enterprise crew ? Klingons traveling back to 2024 to help Trump's election ? Ecofriendly and fair-trade quantum torpedo's ? Vegan spandex outfits ? Romulans economic refugees ? "Star Trek Academy" or "Baby Trekkies", will be to Star Trek what Baby Looney tunes were for Cartoons or what "Police Academy" was for "Dirty Harry" Not sure it sounds optimistic. I can't wait to see this new version of Star Trek.

As long as it doesn't go to Discovery networks I'll be all right with it they ruined the discovery networks and I don't trust them with Star Trek.
